Things to do in Tampa Bay this Weekend
TAMPA, Fla., – September 18, 2020
Happy Friday from Spathe Systems! We have some great events, recipes, and streaming programs to highlight to keep you busy this weekend. The weather this weekend shows consistent rainy days for Tampa, Friday to Sunday. In Fayetteville, you can expect it to clear up as the weekend progresses with partial sun on Sunday! Our tech talk of the week shows you how to create texting shortcuts. If you’ve ever wondered how to set up quick abbreviations that autocorrect to full phrases, look no further. We’ll show you how it works on Apple and Android devices!
This weekend is all about sports. The Tampa Bay Lightning are one step closer to the championship after their Thursday night victory against the Islanders. The Lightning will face off against the Dallas Stars in the Stanley Cup starting Saturday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made their 2020 debut last weekend with newly acquired QB Tom Brady. Though the game didn’t go as expected, we’re hoping for a better show out this weekend against the Carolina Panthers. The Rays go up against the Orioles the entire weekend. Friday and Saturday will feature the 10th annual iHeartRadio Music Festival, completely virtual. Check out some of the best new artists and their at-home performances! Lastly, make sure you check out a DIY Disinfectant Spray that you can make with just a few simple ingredients.
Our recipe of the week includes a take on a favorite restaurant appetizer – Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Originally made popular by P.F. Changs’s, this recipe is delicious, low-carb, and the perfect weekend bite. Our recommended cocktail is a Pear Martini with Elderflower Liqueur. This spiced-floral combination is a real sweet treat so consider trying it after dinner. But, if you’re still looking for an actual dessert, then try out a Molten Chocolate Cake. It’s warm, rich, and irresistible.
