Things to do in Tampa Bay this Weekend

TAMPA, Fla., – September 25, 2020

It’s the final Friday of September and Spathe Systems wishes you a happy start to the weekend. This week, we’ve curated the top events, recipes, and streaming programs to keep you entertained! Chances of rain are high in both Tampa and Fayetteville, with slightly cooler temperatures in both cities. This week’s Tech Talk shows you all the best new iOS 14 features, including ‘Picture in Picture’ and an Emoji keyboard. Check out more features here.

Weekend Activities

Another big sports weekend is coming up in Tampa with all three Bay Area teams playing Friday through Sunday. All eyes are on the Tampa Bay Lightning to take home their second Stanley Cup title this weekend. The Rays go up against the Philadelphia Phillies all weekend long, and the Bucs play the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Go Tampa Bay! For non-sporting events, you can check out a virtually streamed concert by the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay. Tasty Recipes

Our recipes of the week include a classic Cuban Picadillo, made with ground beef, briny green olives, capers, and raisins. We recommend serving this dish with white rice or simply enjoy it on its own! With those cooler temperatures coming in, our cocktail of the week is a delicious Mulled Wine. Red wine, orange, spices, and cinnamon make this warm beverage perfect for a weekend evening. Our dessert recipe this week is a decadent Bread Pudding that combines rich bread cubes and bourbon-soaked raisins.

TV and Movies

New this week on Netflix, Ratched is a brand-new series based on the classic film adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The series stars Sarah Paulson as Mildred Ratched and tells the story of her early life as a young, calculating nurse. Our movie recommendation of the week is Booksmart on Hulu. This film is a comedy about two academic superstars and best friends on a mission to cram four years of fun into one night.

As always, we wish you a safe and relaxing weekend. Be sure to follow us on social media and visit our website for more information about Team Spathe. Happy Friday, and we’ll see you next week!
