HR Generalist

Job Summary:

Spathe Systems is seeking a Human Resource Generalist. Under the guidance of the Human Resources Director, he/she will provide daily support for Human Resource functions which may include onboarding, benefits, payroll changes, training, leave management, policies, and reporting. Some Payroll and Accounting responsibilities may apply.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Human Resources

  • Perform all onboarding activities, assist with orientation
  • HR system administration (ADP WFN)
  • Provide day-to-day HR support
  • Benefit administration and billing review
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies and forms
  • Performance management system and process support
  • Help organize training and development initiatives via LMS
  • Conduct or acquire background check and employee eligibility verifications as required
  • Employee appreciation and morale initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Accounting/ Payroll

  • Assist with Time & Attendance access, coding, and payroll close
  • Payroll updates such as new hires, garnishments, terminations, leaves, changes
  • Maintenance of payroll reports for access, audit

General Administrative

  • Back up for Executive Assistant activities
  • I-9 Admin
  • Record retention

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fields
  • 3 or more years of professional experience in Human Resources required (ADP WFN preferred, or similar)
  • Experience in Payroll administration and/or employment tax desirable
  • SHRM – CP/PHR preferred
  • Experience with ADP software required
  • DELTEK Time and Expense experience preferred
  • Government contractor experience helpful
  • Unique ability to assist managers and staff in a friendly manner for efficient and consistent administration of HR functions
  • Demonstrated professionalism in sound judgment and ethical focus
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding business and staff information
  • Advanced ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to a full range of audiences – executives, staff, and vendors
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • ADP Workforce Now (Comprehensive Services)
  • DELTEK Costpoint Time & Expense

  • Minimal, 0-10% of the time
